7 Days of Love

by SomeGirl on April 26, 2010

There are so many links in today’s post and I’d HIGHLY recommend you visit them… they’re the words that are in a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the text (they’ll open in a new window so you can keep reading here).

I am SO excited to be a part of a GREAT event to care for orphans around the world and to aid families in adoption called 7 Days of Love! All week long, Michelle at So, I Married a Mennonite is spotlighting an amazing organization that selflessly aids abandoned children, Brittany’s Hope, leading up to their annual fundraiser, The Walk of Love.

Not only is she raising money for the care and adoption of orphans worldwide, but she’s giving away some FABULOUS prizes!! You won’t want to miss out on this!

Here’s an excerpt from the kick-off post from her blog:

The wonderful thing about Brittany’s Hope is that all of their operating costs are donated. Not one penny goes in anyone’s pocket! (your donation is tax-deductible, and 100% of it goes straight to abandoned children.)

God doesn’t ask us to do the impossible. That’s His specialty! The disciples weren’t asked to feed the crowd, but to give what they had. Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish, like I believe he will multiply your contribution.  But He can’t multiply what we don’t give!

And did I mention… there’s prizes! So go look under some couch cushions and find at least one dollar (more would be great) that you can give the kids and enter to win!

So, go check it out! And don’t miss my guest post highlighting the adoption of our oldest son! Hope to see you over there!

If you’re as excited as I am, tweet this up with #7daysofLove and share it with your friends on Facebook!

7 days of Love runs from Sunday, April 25 till Saturday, May 1, 2010.
