Hi, I’m glad you’re here! I’d love for us to get to know each other! Let me start by telling you a little about myself…

It’s pretty simple.

I used to be… young. single. talkative. in debt (to my eyeballs). a kindergarten teacher. a second grade teacher. a pre-school teacher. a PTA president. a volunteer.  a college student. a red raider. a mean green eagle. a wild child. a difficult child. strong willed. separated from God. dead in my sins. cute. energetic. fun. popular. a perfectionist. the mascot. a yellow jacket. curious. defiant. pleasing. happy. smiley. bubbly. a server at Tia’s. a server at El Chico. an employee at Limited. a cashier. a hostess. a missionary. a children’s pastor. a Sunday school teacher. a VBS leader.  a spanish student. an ESL teacher. a roommate. a teenager. a child. and skinny.

Now I am… older. married. a mom (to 2 boys). tired. worn out. talkative. cute (when I try). sometimes energetic. fun loving, out of debt (praise God! and thanks to my wise husband!). a Dave Ramsey follower. a home-school teacher. a volunteer. a student of life. a word maker. an alumni. strong willed. good enough. not perfect. saved by grace. a child of God. a daughter of the King. curious. pleasing. happy. smiley.  a recovering perfectionist. sometimes frustrated. addicted to Coke (the soda). a BuenoHead. a TexMexaholic. a cook (not too often). a cleaner (when the housekeepers aren’t here). a wife. a sister. a daughter-in-law. a blogger. an adoptive mom. a Sunday school teacher. an activist (in some regards). a recycler. a composter. an adult. a friend. a believer. a home owner. and a little bit bigger. :)

You’ll get to know me more by looking through my posts and I’d love to get to know you through your comments (and blog if you have one…please leave a link so I can visit) in the hope that we can spur one another on toward love and good deeds! Now… Let the fraddling commence!

Love,

♥ Michelle (aka SomeGirl)

Hey Michele,
Wanted to let you know I referred your website to a neighbor who is thinking of starting to home school her autistic son. I thought your cookie post would be encouraging to her. Thanks for posting it!

Hi Kelly! I was thinking about you just a couple of days ago wondering where you were (this is that Kelly, right?)! I hope the post is encouraging, I shared it with the hopes it would help someone else in the same, or similar, situation! :)

Hope you’re doing well! It’s GREAT to hear from you!

(oh, if this isn’t that Kelly, it’s GREAT to meet you!) :)

Love,
♥Michelle

Found your blog through a twitter post, and so glad I did! I can relate very much to your bio, as a homeschooling Christian mom…I am in awe of how much God changed who I was into the woman I am today. Keep up the good work, I will be back!
Blessings, Christa

Came across your blog on Facebook and I love it. Just a great reminder about how we are all so different, yet the same in the sense that we have all changed as we became mommies and wifes. Really thought-provoking stuff.

We need your help to raise awareness

Last summer Amy Rae Elifritz went from being a healthy and happy 20 year old with her whole life ahead to losing her life in a matter of days . . . sadly, this could have been prevented.

Did you know that tampon related Toxic Shock Syndrome is real, relatively common, and can be deadly? Last summer when Amy experienced flu-like symptoms the fact that she was menstruating seemed unimportant. A few days later, on June 13, she died from Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).

Lisa Elifritz, Amy’s Mom, founded You ARE Loved to help raise awareness about the link between tampons and TSS with the goal of saving lives. This summer, our new non-profit organization is seeking to mobilize bloggers to help spread the message and is inviting you to write a blog post on this important topic.

I encourage you to read this note, check us out on Facebook and Twitter, read our informational brochure, view a two part story by the Indianapolis CBS affiliate WISH-TV (part 1 and part 2), see what others have done as a part of our blogging blitz (page of links), and also to do your own research.

When you write about TSS and You ARE Loved, please share the url so that we can include it on our links page.

Thanks in advance for considering the opportunity to partner with You ARE Loved in our effort to raise awareness about tampon related Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).

Sorry that you no longer follow me on twitter. You were about the only one who ever responded to me and I always knew a prayer came with it.
