Enjoy The Little Things

by SomeGirl on December 28, 2011 · 13 comments

“Enjoy the little things in life for someday you will realize they were the big things.”

Time spent with loved ones.

Games played with friends.

Silly songs and fun conversations.

Quirks that make people special.

Good food. Good laughs. Good deeds…

May this be a year of enjoying ALL of the little blessings in life.

May 2012 be a year that we truly ENJOY.

Something to think about.

(Enjoy – my word for 2012. What’s yours?)

I have definitely learned to stop and enjoy the little things. I can get better which is why my word for 2012 is “intentional”. I am excited for what the new year has in store for this awesome community of faithful bloggers. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year!

Joan

Thanks! I hope you and your family enjoy a fantastic New Year!

Love your one word! Something we should all strive for: ENJOY.
And Maria and I are on the same page as I chose Intentional for my one word, too!
Many delights,

Love your post! When I got married, my aunt gave me a great piece of advice — enjoy the little, everyday things, for that’s what life is made of!

That is one of my favorite quotes! It’s by Robert Brault. (http://www.robertbrault.com/2011/04/who-wrote-enjoy-little-things.html) I’ve been in touch with him and he’s incredible nice and has a great blog.

Your list of things for the New Year is perfect. I was just compiling one myself.

Cheers Michelle! Miss seeing you over my blog!!

Thank you for that link and credit, Betsy! I’m counting down the weeks until our crazy therapy schedule is over and I can get back to blog reading/commenting/replying. Just 9 more weeks (hopefully!).

Sending lots of new year’s Hugs and Kisses! – Michelle

Little things make me happy! Count your blessings – name them one by one!

Blue Cotton Memory

God always gives me a “year of” – Year of the Great Challenge, Year of Standing, Year of Refreshing – this has been The Year of Walking (doesn’t begin on Jan 1 – only when God tells me the theme). It’s been staring me in the face for about 6 weeks now – and I just realized: The Year of Seeing the Little Blessings. Wishing you Joy IN 2012!!

love the quote! it is truer than you realize! the older i get, the truer it is!

Cranberry Morning

What a good post. That is SO TRUE!!! And I think we need to work at being aware of each precious moment, not letting them pass us by without a notice. We have many blessings that we simply get too busy to recognize or acknowledge.

Hope you have a blessed 2012!
