His Pleasure {Day Twenty-Eight}

by SomeGirl on October 27, 2011 · 3 comments

The Relevant Conference just started and is SO good already!

After a wonderful message from Tsh (Simple Mom) on finding God’s pleasure right in the middle of where your skills and passions intersect, I’d like to encourage us to think about the skills we’ve been given and the passions we have, then pray for God to show us how to use the two together.

In joining the two I pray that we will truly sense His pleasure. And that we will know how much He loves and rejoices over each of us doing what He has uniquely designed us to do.

………………….

Father,

You have created us and know us.

You have equipped each one of us with different talents, skills, interest, and passions.

Please show us how to bring those things together and how to do what You have created us to do.

May you be glorified in our endeavors.

Amen.

Megan @ Baby Steps

This is so eerie. I was just praying about this exact thing about a week ago. I graduated from culinary school and have since decided that professional cooking is not for me. But I was praying that God would show me how to use the gifts and skills that He had given me. I still love to cook and bake. And He has shown me a way…I have started my own online and local cookie shop, Keeko’s Kookies. I do believe the idea came straight from Him. He has shown me how to continue on with the skills and the gifts that He has given me, without having to be in the environment that stomps on those skills.

Blessings to you! What a wonderful post!

“In joining the two {your skills and passions} I pray that we will truly sense His pleasure. And that we will know how much He loves and rejoices over each of us doing what He has uniquely designed us to do.” Amen, and amen. I’m doing a lot of soul searching about this lately. Thank you for so beautifully sharing what you learned at Relevant.
