In the Darkness of Life {Day Twenty-four}

Oh, how I love the way nature speaks to the goodness, faithfulness, glory, and power of God!

From our drive this morning…

Sometimes our paths are clouded. We can’t quite see beyond our current situation. We wonder which way to go and wish we had direction.

We stumble along, fearful of the unknown, worried about the unseen. Concerned about what lies ahead. Thinking we are all alone and God has left us.

We decide in our hearts that God has turned His eyes from us and no longer sees, cares, or hears our pleas.

We even start to doubt His existence.

We can’t see past the darkness in our life and begin to believe that there is NO light.

But, I’m here to tell you today that things are different than they appear!

On the other side of that fog that has blinded your eyes there is more light than you can imagine.

It continues to shine, and shine brightly.

God’s love for you never ceases. His concern for you is greater than you will ever know.

He is there. His glory is burning. And His warm embrace awaits you.

Where there is sin clouding your eyes and heart, I pray confession and forgiveness for your soul.

Where there is sadness and grief, I pray comfort and peace.

Where there is despair and hopelessness, I pray that the strong and mighty arms of our God through your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ will bring you hope unending!

I promise you, God is there. His light still shines. You just can’t see it.

But I pray today that you will see glimpses of this truth, just as I saw in the fog this morning.

Do you see it?

Our reminder in nature that no matter how dark things appear, His light always shines…

He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The darkness in our life does not change Him. Praise God for that!

I pray the brightness of His Glory and the warmth of His great love for you will burn away the fog that your heart and soul has been walking in.

Thank you, Father, for speaking truth through your creation!

May we be ever seeing and always perceiving the great truths you have to share with us!

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 10:20

He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'” Mark 4:11-12

I think I need to save this post and read it every morning. I’m going through a dark time again – and need to know that something will change, someway, somehow. I need to see that light through the clouds.

I’ll be praying fervently for you, Julie! xoxo

I LOVE this truth – no matter how dark things appear, His light always shines… And I love how God uses nature, and the things around us, to teach us truths like this. He is so good!

How true this is! What a wonderful illustration.
