I’m What You Would Call ‘Indoorsy’

I’m sitting here with a sea of groceries on the kitchen floor and a list of things to do that is who-knows-how-long. The car is cleaned out, but needs to be washed. The sleeping bags are rolled up and and ready to go. One fishing pole is in the car and the other cute, little pole with a plastic fish on it is by the door waiting to leave. The boys are asleep and will wake early with excitement because… we’re going fishing! Not only are we going fishing, we’re going camping, too! We’re meeting Mimi, Poppy, my sister-in-love and the cousins for a week-long camping trip near Waco. My husband, sister-in-love and I will share a cabin (real camping, hu?) and the kids will probably sleep with Mimi and Poppy in their “brraaannd neeeeww camper!” (said with Price is Right voice) It ought to be fun, but I admit I’m not a big camping fan (even if it is a cabin). As Jim Gaffigan says, “I’m what you would call ‘indoorsy’.” – lol You can watch his “camping” stand up here. But I’m looking forward to spending time with family and watching the guys enjoy their time fishing. And I’m REALLY looking forward to girl time and the good food… these gals know how to cook!

So, I took care of getting someone to watch the house, someone to get the mail, and… someone to guest blog! (a few someones really)

I am SO excited about the ladies who will be writing  in place of me this week ! They’re wonderful and I think you’re going to LOVE them!!! Let me introduce them to you…

Jessica of Reflections of a Princess and I are true kindred spirits. I love her blog and am excited she’s going to share her thoughts and passion with us! Her heart is for encouraging and equipping women to live biblically, to pursue God as life and honor him for what he is worth. Check out her about page here.

Michelle of So, I Married a Mennonite… is “goofy by nature” (I love that!) and a teacher to the core… she enjoys learning as much as she can about all things domestic and creating a casual, contented home and passes those things on in her blog, which is so cozy and comfortable you just want to stay there reading forever! You can read more about her here.

Shell (aka OM) of Percolating Practice … have I not said SO much about Shell’s blog over the past two months!? Remember, the blog that encouraged me to give up speaking negative words about my boys for Lent. She’s also my Talking Tuesday buddy who I went to the farm and started worm bins with.  I love her! And I love her blog! It’s my daily read and acts quite like a devotional in my life. She’s wonderful and the queen of fraddling, therefore, she will be posting Fraddling Friday for me. I can’t wait to read what she writes! Read more about her and her quest for balance and journey with yoga here.

Allie‘s FB status yesterday read, “Got a vision for a new blog yesterday at the Living Free conference. It’s taking the shape of a confessional. Stay tuned. You’re about to know more about me than you ever wanted to!!” I jumped on that and asked her to guest blog for Saturday! She’s so fresh she doesn’t even have a blog, yet! I can’t wait to hear what she has to say!!!

and last, but definitely not least…

When I was thinking of someone for Thought Provoking Thursday I instantly thought of a great blog I’ve visited numerous times: … a place for thoughts (a place where thoughts are shared and encouraged to be shared).  The sweet blog author has graciously agreed to provoke our thoughts here at SomeGirl’sWebsite and I am SO thankful for that! I think you’ll really like her, I know I do!

So, there you have it! A great line up for T/W/Th/F/S. I’ll be back Sunday, but won’t blog again until Monday. I’ll miss you guys! (I’m just a little obsessed) ;) And I REALLY can’t wait to read the great things that will be written here while I’m gone!

Now, let me leave you with a little peek into our fun filled weekend… the boys got cap guns at our first Civil War Reenactment (which is another blog post in itself), but my littlest one decided he was too afraid of the “bang” so we had to make our own gun sounds to play with him. ;)

Warning: boys and mom shooting pretend guns at each other and acting dead, view at your own discretion… And remember to ignore the black spot on the top left from my broken camera.

Have a GREAT week!

Love,

♥ Michelle (aka SomeGirl)

Michelle – I hope you and your family have a great vacation!!! Thank you so much for including me as one of your guest bloggers! Can’t wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!

Shell

Have a wonderful time! Take a pad of paper and pen with you. I’m sure your trip will generate more post ideas than a really good Talkin Tuesday! We’ll miss you, but I can’t wait to read the posts from your guest bloggers too.

Some Girl

Thanks you guys!!! I’ll be praying for you! And I’m sure I’ll talk your ears off next week! ;) ♥ Michelle

Have fun! We love to go to the great outdoors! Our family has a cabin near the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC and it is a great place for little boys to be little boys! :-) Sticks and stones and squirmy things…ah yes! They will have such a great time. Make sure you eat some smores…

Jessica

Have fun!

Colleen

You saying that you are “indoorsy” makes me laugh! I think I am too!

One of my daughter’s friends wrote on her facebook page that she DOES appreciate enjoying God’s creation…she just enjoys looking at it from inside a building! I thought that was so funny! :)

I noticed your page’s ranking in google’s search results is
very low. You are loosing a lot of traffic. You
need hi Page Rank backlinks to rank in top ten. I know – buying them is too expensive.

It is better to own them. I know how to do that, simply google it:
