It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful and that your Christmas is off to a great start!

Btw, that Santa in the 4th photo is a handprint (upside down)… super cute craft and fun to make with a group of friends.

Some friends and I got together last year and made them by painting the thumb and base of our little ones’ hands red, the palm peach and the fingers white then pressing their hands on construction paper.

The children stamped a little white dot at the end of the hat, dotted black paint eyes and painted a little mouth (some had help from their moms).

After they dried we glued a little picture of the artist on back (with the year), laminated them for 25 cents a foot at a local teacher store, strung a little ribbon through a hole punched in the top and gave them as grandparent and aunt gifts.

Just thought I’d share the idea. ♥

Sweet, sweet pictures!!!

Thanks, J!

Btw, I just added instructions on how to make the Santa hand-print ornament, thought I’d let you know for your little one. :)

Your kids are precious, Michelle!

Aw, thanks Jennifer! (I think so, too.) ;)

Great photos of your sons, Michelle! Their expressions in the third photo are priceless! I love handprint crafts – they’re always a great keepsake gift. I added your handprint Christmas ornament idea to the Living Montessori Now Facebook page at Have a wonderful holiday season!!!

Thank you, Deb!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season, too!

I’m going to be working on planning advent ideas/activities for my family this week and will be visiting your blog and FB in depth! Thanks for sharing such great resources! :)

Betsy at Zen Mama

We make that same handprint as part of a handprint book at our preschool. It’s very cute as an ornament. We’ll have to try that!

Looks like the family is having a blast! What great pictures!

Oh, I just love handprint art and a book is a great idea!! Love the creative exchange that goes on around here! :) Thanks, Betsy!

Thanks, Alicia! Just saw you are going to Blissdom… how fun! I didn’t have time to really read and leave a comment, but I browsed a bit. :) I’ll go back by your place soon! xoxo
