It’s Okay to Let Go (Thought Provoking Thursday)

You don’t have to be perfect in all that you do.

It’s okay to let go of that goal.

You are loved, cherished and rejoiced over with singing by

The One who is Perfect.

That’s something very comforting to think about

(and something I’m writing mostly for myself).

Have you written a thought-provoking post lately?

Share it with us in the boxes below. Keep the fun going by linking back.

Loved this. There are a lot of us recovering perfectionists that still need this reminder sometimes! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Oh, and I am sad to admit I have no idea what linking back means…..So sad, so sad. But I’m not perfect, and that’s good enough, right? LOL.

Haha… don’t worry. That’s definitely good enough! ;)

(Btw, linking back just means putting a link in your post to this post.)

Cranberry Morning

Doing our best is one thing; obsessing to be perfect is so unproductive and debilitating. It makes us miss out on the abundance of joys around us.

So true! Thank you, Judy!

GREAT thought, Michelle! I’m a recovering perfectionist! I think looking back on my life in retrospect has helped me realize that I didn’t need to be perfect and everything turned out great anyway. God was always there to take care of the many imperfections on my part. I think I’ll keep counting on that!

GREAT way to look at things and gain a new perspective! Thanks for sharing that, Deb!

Thank you~ {very much}

It’s good to know I’m not alone! :)

Whew!! Needed that today!

Glad to know I’m not the only one! :)

Just rolling with the punches without turning around to make corrections was one of the hardest lessons for me to learn but now that I’ve got the hang of it, it’s more freeing than I ever imagined! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, that sounds nice (and very freeing)! May God give us all that ability! Thanks, Jahara!

Simple, beautiful, and so very true.

Thank you, Jessica. ♥

Thank you for reminding me of this! :) I sometimes put too high of expectations on myself.

Oh, I know that feeling, Girl! Here’s to letting go! :)

Thanks, SomeGirl. Just that little thought gave me permission to breathe in the middle of a deadline. Yes, there are quite a few recovering perfectionists out there. Keeps me at the feet of Jesus. Keep doing what you’re doing. I appreciate your thoughts.

Praise God! At the feet of Jesus is the best place to be! Hope your deadline goes well and that you keep on breathing (and letting go)! ♥ Michelle
