Long exposure, Silhouette, and Technology (week 3 of the 30DPC)

Wow, it’s week 3 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge already… Time flies! (It’s been speeding by over the past week, which explains why I’m a few days behind on the challenge.)

Here are the three shots I have to share from last week and a little tip for one of them:

Day 15- Long Exposure

It rained, really rained, for the first time in what felt like FOREVER around here! The boys grabbed an umbrella and went out to play in it until a loud crash of thunder sent them in for marshmallows (we call thunder our stomachs grumbling for marshmallows and try to see who’s stomach is grumbling the loudest… then we eat one big marshmallow each.) :)

This picture is a long exposure shot of my oldest son twirling his umbrella.

Day 16- Silhouette

I actually have a tip to share this week… My sweet husband taught me to do silhouettes by focusing on the bright sky instead of the people or objects and then taking the picture. I’m glad this was on the challenge as it was something I would never have thought to do, but looks really neat!

Day 17- Technology

I am LOVING this new-to-me photo processing software, Adobe Lightroom… It’s SO SUPER COOL!! It’s definitely worth getting if you plan on doing photography for a side business.

I’ll try to catch up soon and share all my photos next Wednesday.

What about you?

Do YOU have any photos from the challenge to share? I’d LOVE to see them!

Cranberry Morning

I love that umbrella photo! And actually, I often have silhouette photos – by accident. lol

Haha… you didn’t know how talented you were, did ya?! ;)

That umbrella photo is amazing!

Thank you, J!
