My REAL Friends

Linking up with The Gypsy Mama’s 5 Minute Friday.

Written with lots of love and enthusiasm after meeting some of my friends from this blog and twitter at the Mom Heart Conference, and after many discussions about how our on-line friends seemed so imaginary until we finally meet some. :)

This may seem strange, but…

If there’s one thing I’ve learned at the conferences I’ve gone to in the past few months (Blissdom, Relevant and, just this past weekend, the Mom Heart Conference) it’s that you, my sweet friend, are real!

You, on the other side of this computer screen, are not just a name in the comment section or a twitter handle, but are real!

You have flesh and heart and are a living soul!

You are my friend, my very-much-in-real-life friend!

I may not have had the opportunity (yet) to squeeze your neck and give you a BIG OL’ Texas HUG, but I COULD because YOU are THAT real!! (I told you it may sounds strange, right?) ;)

I am SO blessed to have YOU as a REAL friend!!

Ok, so I just broke the 5 minute Friday rules and went back to edit something… but at least I tried not to, right? ;)

I am so envious of all the conferences that other bloggers go to! I live in Las Vegas–the conference capital of the nation–but blogging conferences just don’t come here. :( Or if they do they keep themselves very secret.

Glad you had fun!

That is weird… you would think Las Vegas would have blogging conferences, that’s strange. Well, if you ever want to make a trip to one and need a roommate, let me know. :)

Cranberry Morning

What a nice post – and expresses the way I feel about my blogging friends too! :-)

Thanks, Judy! I confess that I deleted this post and only reinstated it when I saw it went out to email subscriptions… I was a little embarrassed thinking it might be dumb. :) Thanks for your words of encouragement! ♥

Betsy at Zen Mama

I’m glad you had such a great time! Hopefully some day I’ll make it to a conference. They don’t seem to come to Denver yet either.

If you do make it to one, let me know! I’d LOVE to see you in person… LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to!!

I’m real last time I checked! Except on the days I feel surreal! (tee hee)

Hahaha… You’re real and always bring a smile to my face! :)

Lindsey van Niekerk

I haven’t made it to a blogging conference as of yet, but I love to hear others share about the connections they have made at them. It makes me excited to go one day!

I’d HIGHLY recommend going! (More for the connections than anything else.) It’s GREAT to meet you, btw! ♥ Michelle

Oh I am just so happy seeing these pictures. It was truly a joy to meet you in person and give you a great big squeeze! And I feel the same way; it is hard to explain to some people, but my relationships with my online friends are real and meaningful. I love how God can use everything, even the internet, to bless us!

I love that, too! And I LOVED(!!!!!) meeting you in person!!!!! ♥

Devotion Mama

Thanks for posting the pics! It was so nice to meet you :) It is so important to remember that those reading our blogs are real people! We are blessed to have the opportunity to touch their lives.

Amen, so blessed! What a great way to put it!

It was so nice to meet you, too!! ♥

Eryn {mamahall}

I big ‘ole Texas love you, Michelle!

Awwwww…. you, too, Eryn!! xoxoxo

I’d love to make it to a conference some day. What great pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us. Sounds like you’ve been greatly blessed by these events!

I hope you do make it! And I hope it’s one I’m at!! I can’t wait to meet you one of these days!! ♥ ♥ ♥
