In keeping with the REAL me I’m here to provoke thoughts today (and just might do that every Thursday! Hmmm… maybe I’ll call it Thought Provoking Thursday (TPT)… I like that)! Today’s thought is a Bible verse, but it won’t always be. However, it will always be something to make you think! I logged in to my FB account this morning and saw this verse in the sidebar:
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:3-4 – NIV
As soon as I read it my thoughts started going… how am I doing in this area? Where do I need to keep myself from selfish ambition and vain conceit? (I’ll share in the comment section below)… so I wonder, what are your thoughts on this verse? I’d love to hear! ♥

This really struck me personally and made me think about the need to focus on the growth of OTHERS here at SomeGirlsWebsite and not the growth of the blog… to keep my focus right and not give way to “selfish ambition and vain conceit” as a blogger, which is so easy to fall victim to when you think that others might actually care about the words I say and let it go to your head. So, what about you?
Hey, there! Just poking around a bit… I appreciate the verse you shared. I keep reminding myself to “seek first His Kingdom.”
blessings,
m :)
Poke around all you want! :) “Seek first His Kingdom” is a great verse for us bloggers… not “seek first comments and followers.” ;) Thanks for making me think! – Michelle
