Thought Provoking Thursday

by SomeGirl on June 16, 2010 · 14 comments

So, it’s Thought Provoking Thursday and I’m trying to come up with something thought provoking to write, but I just can’t think over the pain… yesterday we left the house at 10:30am to ride our bikes to the pool, where we stayed until  2:30 and then rode our bikes home (which took 4 times as long with a tired 3 year old). And now I have legs nearly the color of a cherry tomato. So, the only thought provoking question I can come up with is…

-

WHY DIDN’T I PUT ON SUNSCREEN??????!!!!!

Thanks, Sherry! That’s the first thing I did when I got home… slathered on the aloe gel! It sure does help, doesn’t it?!

Sorry, it gave me a good laugh too. But I know it’s horrid to experience. It’s so easy to forget sunscreen, especially if the day is cloudy. Who would think??? Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, I wish I could blame my dumb mistake on cloudiness… I just thought I didn’t need any. But those burns on a cloudy day are crazy, and just don’t make any sense! (I had a good laugh writing this post, too… I’m glad you had one reading it.) :) ♥ Michelle

I’m sorry that was so painful but it is a good reminder for all of us.

Oh no!!! I’m so sorry!! When I was in HS my family went our local beach in Pensacola, FL….none of us put on any sunscreen which wasn’t really smart….the beautiful white sands reflected the sun and we ALL ended up w/ terrible sunburns!! I even had blisters…needless to say none of us went anywhere for about a week!! Hope you have lots of aloe on hand!!
