I was driving in the car with my husband yesterday when this song came on:
In the chorus it says:
Oh God let us be
a generation that seeks
Who seeks Your face, Oh God of Jacob
And I couldn’t help but think…
People for generations have praised “the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” We were even singing to “the God of Jacob.”
Which made me wonder… Are we making Him known like they were? Are we testifying to His power and mighty works in our lives?
Would people want to praise and sing to “the God of ________” (fill in your name here)?
Just something I’ve been thinking about.

Thanks for that thought. I’ll be thinking about it this week!
Thanks for the thought and video, Michelle! I love that song, and that’s definitely a thought-provoking idea. Worth doing some soul searching about!
Thank you for sharing that video. It is giving me something to think about this morning. :)
Hmmm…that truly is thought-provoking. Thanks for having the thought & for sharing it with all of us!
A line from the song…let us turn our eyes…we are constantly tempted by the things of this world. As I searched for your website…I have just recently choosen to seek God first and it is a minute to minute choice…for instance when I went to go look for your website I used a search bar and the first site that came up was a web address with the “f” word in it. It was hard for me to turn my eyes. But I did. Thank you God for being in my life and thank you for never leaving me. Choose God first. He will never let you down or forsake you. No matter what you have done in your past. Thank you God for giving me the strength to turn my eyes. Amen.
It is a minute to minute choice, isn’t it? I’m SO glad you made it here, just wish that other site didn’t come up high in the rankings! I think I’m going to start praying that it (and other links like it) won’t show up on the front page… I’ve wondered a few times about changing this blog name because of it (and the other searches that have lead people here… I can see the keywords used on google analytics), but then I wonder if people do the opposite and go looking for those sites, but end up here? I hope so!
Praise God He NEVER leaves us, forsakes us or changes! And praise God for the work He’s doing in your life!! I’m REALLY glad you’re here! :)

I will pray about the website name and strive to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is a calling of mine or so I am coming to see but it is hard to be patient and hear that voice sometimes it is so faint. But thanks for the response. TTYL
