Someone once stood at a chalkboard and told me…
This is your life.

This is when you’re born.

This is when your body dies.

And this is when you live.

Our life here is SO short when compared to eternity…
“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” James 4:14
Something to think about.

Now that’s thought-provoking! As a child, I used to try to imagine the neverendingness of eternity. It’s impossible to truly comprehend … but trying does put things into perspective! :)
Francis Chan has a similar illustration with a long rope. We spend so much time worry about our time on earth, when it’s nothing compared with eternity. Great point!
Wow. Definitely something to think about.
Wow – well that is something to think about! Love the visual.
WOW…that makes you think ” WHAT AM I WAITING FOR!!!”
Excellent !
Our life is but a speck in time. I’ve seen this illustration before and love it.
Truth. Truth. Truth. =) And, when we know Jesus eternity starts now!
So true! I was actually just changing my last illustration to show that… It kept bugging me to see the blue start after our body dies, these “earth suits” (as someone I heard speak at our brides funeral called them). Eternity starts now! :)
Oops, auto-correct got me again! That ought to say “niece’s” funeral, not “brides.” ;)
YEAH!! Awesome illustration. And such an exciting way to start the morning, with that in mind. :)
Beautiful
Really needed this post today! Reminding me that there is so many great things to come, even during this time of grief life is short and this is just a temporary home.
Blessings,
Misty
Praying for you as you grieve the loss of your mother. This *is* a temporary home. Sending much love and ((((hugs))) your way. ♥ Michelle
