Some Delicious Treats

The boys and I are having fun baking today. We’ve been at it most of the morning, so I decided to take a break from our work in the kitchen and thought I’d share a few pictures and recipes here. :)

We started off the morning making some DELICIOUS Toffee bars that I found last week at a good friend’s blog – Cranberry Morning. (Thanks, Judy!)

Yum! Easy and GOOD! Everyone here is enjoying sampling them! (Find the recipe here)

And, to balance things out we made some yummy Spicy Pretzels from another good friend’s blog – Lamp Unto My Feet. (Thanks, Sherry!)

Don’t those look GREAT??! I’m more of a savory person myself, so I’m excited to nibble on these… uh, I mean give them away. ;) (find the recipe here)

Now, after a brief game of Sorry, which is set up and waiting for me, we’ll make Judy’s Russian Teacakes and some sugar cookies (from a mix).

Wish you were here to give you some!

So, what about you? Do you have a favorite treat to share with your friends? Are you making anything special this year? I’d LOVE to hear!

Oh, I don’t want to forget to stick a box of goodies in my mailbox for our mail carrier… Hmmm, wonder if I’ve forgotten anyone else? :)

Looks fun and yummy! What kind of roller is that?

It’s a pastry roller from Pampered Chef. It’s super handy and doubles as a great play-dough toy. ;)

I’m making banana bread as we “speak”. The toffee bars look much better. You reminded me that I can’t forget the mailman this year. Thanks!!

Ooh, banana bread is good, too!

Yeah, it’s fun to pass goodies on to people who don’t expect it, like the mail carrier. Someone also gave us the idea of taking goodies to the fire station on Christmas day. We did it last year and really enjoyed it. :)

Hope you’re enjoying your time with your family and ready for your big celebration tomorrow! Merry Christmas!

I’d LOVE one of those toffee bars right now with a cup of tea! Yum!
